Desert Dunes:
Located just north of Palm Springs lies this Robert Trent Jones, Jr. layout, one that is sure to offer many interesting challenges to golfers of every ability. Cut through the desert mesquite with two holes completely lined with tamarisk trees, the course features two beautiful lakes, lush fairways, generous greens, and some of the most picturesque views of any golf course in the Coachella Valley.
Desert Willow:
Here's a 36-hole complex that boasts it's fun and challenging for amateurs, yet a formidable test for professionals. It's easy to see why, for Desert Willow offers five sets of tees allowing every class of player to choose the distance that suits his or her game. At 7,056 yards from the tips, the Firecliff course has received numerous accolades for its environmental sensitivity and preservation.
Mountain Vista:
is a spectacular desert courses at Sun City Palm Desert and is one of the areas best kept golfing secrets. Reasonably priced, this Billy Casper designed course is both challenging and rewarding.
Tahquitz Creek Resort Course:
features shimmering waterscapes and a landscape echoing the beauty of the nearby Indian Canyons. Undulating fairways, numerous carries over water and multi-tiered greens make for a memorable round. The slightly less demanding Legends course is also well worth playing.
Palm Desert Golf Club:
is one of the Coachella Valley's older courses with a reputation for its wide fairways and large contoured greens. With only a moderate amount of water and sand hazards Palm Desert presents a fair challenge to most handicap levels.
Heritage Palms:
in Indio comes with some elevation changes and well-contoured fairways. An Arthur Hills design the course is well bunkered and water comes into play on several holes. With no two holes alike you should find Heritage Palms an enjoyable and memorable round.
