With so much to see and do in the states of Arizona, Nevada and California it seems a shame to stay in just one place. On this page is a sample itinerary which you might find of interest. The Interstate highways are excellent and even long distances are covered with ease.
 
11 Nights + Options  
Scottsdale, Phoenix - 4 Nights
Sedona - 2 Nights
Flagstaff, Grand Canyon - 2 Nights
Las Vegas - 4 Nights

DAY 1
  am - Depart UK for your daytime flight to Phoenix, Arizona

pm
- Arrive late afternoon/early evening at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Pick up hire car and drive 15/30 minutes to your hotel/apartment
DAY 2
  am - After a leisurely hearty American breakfast head off for your first round of Arizona desert golf. No need to rush, hit a few balls and take in the fabulous scenery that the Valley of the Sun has to offer.

pm - After your round retire to your resort and relax round the pool before heading off to Old Town Scottsdale for your first taste of Arizona hospitality.

DAY 3
  am/pm - Take the 115-mile drive down Interstate 10 to Tucson and sample real cowboy country. Step back in time with a visit to the Old Tucson studios where many a famous western movie was filmed. Head off to Tombstone and relive the gunfight at the OK Corral. 65 miles on from Tucson is the fascinating Mexican border town of Nogales.

If the above does not appeal then play a round of golf on one of the areas fabulous courses. Del Largo GC is one of our favourites, a combination of desert and links golf with wide rolling fairways and sandy washes make for a truly memorable round.

DAY 4
 

Much the same as Day 3, maybe take in some serious retail therapy at one of the areas many shopping malls.

DAY 5
  am - Check out of your Scottsdale accommodation and drive 1½ hours north for your two nights at the Hilton Sedona Golf Resort.

pm - Relax around the pool or explore this fascinating area surrounded by the towering Red Rock formations.

DAY 6
  am/pm - Play 18 holes on the Sedona Resort Course before a relaxing afternoon touring the rambling streets of Sedona famous for its many art galleries and displays of native American culture.
DAY 7
  am - Heading north towards the Grand Canyon takes you through one of America's most scenic drives. Oak Creek Canyon is a 16-mile gorge, which takes you high into the Coconino National Forest.

pm - Arrive at the Grand Canyon South Rim and take in the awesome sights of America's most popular tourist attraction. Stay the night at one of the nearby hotels or drive to Flagstaff for 2 nights at the Little America Hotel
DAY 8
  am/pm - From Flagstaff you can explore more views of the Grand Canyon from the North Rim, Monument Valley and the Petrified Forest National Park. Or play 18 holes on one of the areas picturesque local courses and relax around the splendid and secluded pool at the Little America Hotel. We recommend you dine in the hotel restaurant which is renowned in the area for its imaginative menu.

DAY 9
  am - Head off on the 4-hour drive to Las Vegas which takes you over the awesome Hoover Dam - well worth a stop to take in the sights of one of the world's greatest manmade achievements.

pm - Arrive at the one and only Las Vegas and check into your chosen hotel or apartment.

DAYS 10 / 11
  Enjoy the delights of Las Vegas - golf can be arranged on numerous local courses however for a desert course expect to pay £60 per person upwards.
DAY 12
  am/pm - A last few hours in this unique city before heading to the airport for your flight home.
DAY 13
  am - Arrive in the UK
   
  Other suggestions - If Las Vegas doesn't appeal, substitute Palm Springs, with over 50 great golf courses and 350 days sunshine annually this is the ideal location to rest and relax before returning home.
