Often overlooked by those heading for its nearby and better known neighbour Hilton Head, Savannah often described as "The Belle " of the south has much more going for it than most people are aware of.

Standing on the banks of the Savannah River this beautiful southern city is full of charm and character and has a great choice of reasonably priced hotels and a selection of fine restaurants offering cuisines from around the world. The historic district paved with cobblestones is a joy to explore and a few days sampling the culture, charms and other numerous attractions of this unique and history laden city is usually regarded as time well spent.

And then there is the golf - with several very good courses within a 30 minute drive of the city centre and the fabled Hilton Head courses only a further 15 minutes away. These are just a few good reasons to make Savannah another stop on your visit to Georgia and the Carolinas.

Easily accessible by flights connecting to all the major airline hubs in the States, a popular option is to either start or finish your holiday in Savannah and drop the rental car at your final destination.

Being so far south Savannah has a moderate all year round climate for golfers, however to experience the best conditions for great golf March thru early June and October and November would be our choice of times to visit.
