Located in the south west corner of California close to the border with Mexico, San Diego has quietly established itself as one of the USA's most popular golf holiday destinations. The weather is glorious with an average daily temperature of 70.5 degrees Fahrenheit (21.4 Celsius). The beaches are beautiful - 70 miles of Pacific Ocean coastline. The nearby mountain ranges are magnificent. The interesting and enjoyable things to see and do are endless. The dining is to die for, and the golf ... well, with nearly 100 luscious layouts in and around San Diego they are to live for !

There are currently no direct flights from the U.K. to San Diego however it is easily reached with a change in either New York, Atlanta, Charlotte or Philadelphia. An alternative is to fly direct into LA and use San Diego as a stopover on your multi centre tour of southern California. This could include Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and LA, what a fantastic holiday !

Being this far south great golfing weather is almost guaranteed year round, however to be on the safe side it would be best to avoid December and January when the cool breezes blow in of the Pacific Ocean.
