Accommodation and Courses in Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon area is not a golf holiday destination however, we have included it in our golf holiday tours because over the past 20 years or so it has proved a popular stopover point for clients doing multi-centre golf tours of Arizona, Nevada and California.
Almost midway between Scottsdale and Las Vegas, you can either stop off at the small town of Tusayan just 5 miles from the South rim, or the much larger Flagstaff which gives you further options to explore the North rim and Monument Valley.
Tusayan is really nothing more than somewhere to stop overnight prior to visiting the South rim area of the Grand Canyon, whereas Flagstaff is a good alternative if you wish to spend more time exploring the awesome scenery Arizona has to offer.
The winter temperatures at the Grand Canyon can be extreme and with the last winter storms known to be as late in the year as early May the best time to guarantee great views is between mid May and mid November.
