With the warm waters of the Gulf Stream close by Hilton Head enjoys a semi sub tropical climate with mild winters and warm summers cooled by the Atlantic breeze. October and November when average daily temperatures are still in the mid 70ºF is a great time to visit. Even December and January can be pleasant with average temperatures in the mid- 60ºF.

With more than 40 courses on or nearby to Hilton Head and not a poor course amongst them the area is one of the world's premier golf holiday destinations.

From Harbour Town regularly rated in American's top 25 courses must play list to the lesser known Eagle Pointe Hilton Head offer a consistently high quality of golf. Green fees are generally in the $80/$100 range however November through February is less expensive.
