Eagle Golf Tours
have chosen DUBAI and the Arabian Gulf for its first golf
holiday destination outside of the USA. The decision was not taken lightly,
however we feel that when you combine the top quality golf courses, exceedingly
high standard of service and cuisine to be experienced in the the Gulf
region, then introduce the fascinating history and charm of the Arab
world, you realise that you are indeed somewhere very special.
| Prices for dining out and drinks are approximately
the same as the UK with variety and quality of international cuisine
you expect of any major European city. |

When you are not on the golf course or enjoying
the clear waters of the Arabian Gulf, there are an abundance of attractions
in these cosmopolitan Arab cities.
Stroll along the banks of Dubai Creek only yards from the Corniche with
its modern hotels, restaurants and shops and step back in time when you
witness one of the most fascinating sights you will ever see as the Dhows
built in the style of centuries ago load their cargoes by hand to be
transported to remote parts of the Arabian Gulf and Indian sub-continent
(remember Around the World in 80 Days - Michael Palin?) |

Shop until you drop in the numerous American
style malls, wander the tiny back streets of the Souks. Gold, spices,
clothes and electrical goods are imported and sold in one of the cheapest
duty free shops anywhere in the world.
Once you've spent all your money in the Souks and shops, why not try
to win it back at the regular Camel or Horse racing meetings. Tennis
clubs are in abundance and courts are available at all our hotels or
associated beach clubs. |

Flights to the Gulf
are on daily direct scheduled flights with either British Airways or
Emirates Airlines from Gatwick, Heathrow Birmingham and Manchester,
with add-on fares available from all regional airports. (N.B. Indirect
flights are available, if required)
Car Hire : This is not included in our prices for Dubai as taxis
are plentiful and very cheap. Should you require a car, all our hotels
will arrange this for you locally with the cost being approximately
£30 per day.
|
 |
Climate : The only period we do not recommend travelling to
Dubai would be from late May to mid September when temperature and humidity
are extremely high, it is cheap during this period, but not recommended.
Probably the ideal time to holiday in Dubai is October to April, however
beware black-out dates due to the Emirates Golf Championship which takes
place in late February/early March each year, and the Dubai Tennis Open
which takes place in mid February. Dubai also hosts many other international
events and trade fairs etc. which can make availability a problem.
|
As usual for clients booking their Dubai
holiday with Eagle Golf Tours, you will be provided with our information
guide to restaurants, bars and entertainment which has been compiled
as a result of your many visits to the area
NB : Visas are Not required for UK passport holders
Inoculations are Not required unless advised |
