Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven Emirates and the Federal
capital of the United Arab Emirates, its long coastline and shallow
waters of the Southern Gulf, extending from the Qatar Peninsula
in the west to the border with Dubai.
On land it stretches south to the oasis of Liwa, where some of
the worlds largest sand dunes can be found, and east to the
ancient desert town of Al Ain. Large gardens and parks, green palm
lined boulevards and the presence of an ever growing choice of luxury
hotels provide visitors to Abu Dhabi with a holiday experience
which is both unique and enchanting.
October through to May would be the main season with November and
March being our favourite months.

Gently undulating terrain meandering through pockets of palms and
ornamental shrubs and trees, flawless fairways, incredible greenery
and seven salt water lakes are just part of the magnificent set
up at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
The challenging National Course, host to the PGA Seniors Tour Desert
Classic, is a unique course that will test the skills of all standards
of golfer. The more forgiving Garden Course recently reduced to
nine holes is every bit as enjoyable as the National, with the added
advantage that it can be played in the cooler evenings, under floodlights.
The incredible clubhouse in the shape of a falcon helps round off
a great golfing experience.

Doha the capital city is situated on a beautiful bay halfway along
the Coast of the Qatar peninsula overlooking the warm blue waters
of the Gulf. Doha has at this time only one grass golf course, however,
Qatar is following in Dubais footsteps and investing huge
sums of money developing the countrys tourism industry and
it will not be long before more courses follow. Quality hotels,
a terrific golf course and the genuine Arabian experience that Qatar
offers make this unique destination a great alternative to its more
commercial neighbours.
With very little annual rain fall and hot summers we think the
best months to visit Qatar are October, November and February through
May.
If you have a preference for hotels other than the ones featured,
please call for details.

Measuring 7374 yards from the tournament tees the Doha Golf Club
is widely recognised as one of the worlds outstanding golf courses.
Host to the Qatar Masters European Tour event the desert was transformed
into an impressive golf course with the planting of 16,000 different
plants, shrubs and trees. In addition, eight artificial lakes and
numerous bunkers compliment the hazards created by the natural rock
formations and encroaching desert.
Surrounded by desert terrain the lush green fairways make spectacular
targets with wayward shots destined for a sandy lie. An ice-cold
beer at the extremely well stocked halfway house was a pleasant
and welcome surprise. There is also an interesting 9 hole, 2844yds
Academy course on site if the thought of 18 holes is too much.
